Under your circumstances, I would highly recommend that you completely reinstall Windows on your machine.
To access this, when you boot and the first HP or Compaq splash screen pops up, you should see at the bottom of the screen a key to press that will put you into the Recovery mode.
Press this key quickly as you won't have much time. Follow the prompts to completely clean your hard drive and re-install Windows. Make sure you back up any needed files first. If you can't locate this key, then connect to the HP website and download the manual for your specific computer model.
